DUI Safety and Treatment Enrollment Information

The West Virginia DUI Safety and Treatment Program is offered at the United Summit Center Clarksburg location in conjunction with the West Virginia Bureau for Behavioral Health and Health Facilities/ Division on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse and the WV Division of Motor Vehicles. The program consists of education, intervention and treatment components.

All appointments and classes will be held at the main location. The main location’s address is:

6 Hospital Plaza
Clarksburg, WV

The cost of the educational portion of the program is $ 440.00. This fee is set by the State and has to be paid upfront by money order only. This fee may be paid at any United Summit Center location. The fee includes the initial assessment, the 18-hour educational program, and the exit interview. Once the fee is paid the individual will be scheduled for the intake evaluation.

Each individual is required by the State to complete an intake evaluation and, at a minimum, complete eighteen hours of required education classes held over a six-week period. These classes are available on Mondays from 1:00pm-4:00pm or 6:00pm-9:00pm. Additional treatment services may be required as needed. Individuals must successfully complete treatment goals in order to be recommended for reinstatement of their driver’s license. Click here for a reminder checklist of what is required at the initial evaluation.

The client may be eligible for a one time waiver of that fee if residency and income requirements set by the State of West Virginia are met. Packets are available at all United Summit Center locations. To print the packet click on the following link: WV DUI Safety & Treatment Program Indigent Determination Packet.  Once the packet is fully completed it will need to be mailed to or dropped off at the main Summit Center location.
